Full Time Regular Manual Labor Fort Wayne, IN, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 2146 We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Valicor Environmental Services at the Fort Wayne facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators, and will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to environmental facility operations. Key Responsibilities Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Operator a forklift and skid loader safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. Assist in the handling and processing of waste materials at the facility. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and meet project deadlines. Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities. Qualifications: Proven experience as an excavator operator, preferably in an environmental or construction setting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate heavy equipment in various weather conditions and environments. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines. Capacity to provide and follow directions. (Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.) Qualifications: Certification in excavator operation or equivalent training. Experience operating other heavy equipment, such as loaders or excavators.
