Staff Distribution Designer

Immediate need for a talented Staff Distribution Designer . This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Kansas City, MO (Onsite) . Job Diva ID: 26-20155 Pay Range: $43 - $47/hour. health insurance (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) plan paid sick leave (depending on work location) Key Responsibilities Develop and prepare distribution voltage packages for both overhead and underground projects, including distribution equipment installation, feeder replacement, cable replacement, and new feeder design. Develop and prepare design sketches, cost estimates, bill of materials, and other required deliverables. Perform various distribution calculations, including cable pulling, voltage drop, and pole loading calculations. Apply strong knowledge of NESC standards and utility standards, guides, specifications, and procedures. Research and compile project-related data as required by the project managers. Perform field inspections for overhead and underground electric facilities on public and private utility systems. Prepare and disseminate project communication regarding vegetation management, third-party attachments, right-of-way, and outage planning. Develop client presentations, reports, and visualizations to demonstrate technical results and project status. Key Requirements and Technology Experience Must Have Skills: Must have a college degree in CAD Design/drafting technology with 7 to 10 years of experience in CAD design & drafting roles. Must have experience supporting design electric distribution/ overhead and underground electric facilities, distribution line projects. Strong understanding on applying NESC and utility design standards. Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field and min 7 years related/relevant experience OR Associate Degree and min 8 years related/relevant experience OR High School and min 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience is required. Must have distribution background and experience (must show on resume).
