Freight Forwarder

Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination Manage the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and movement through various transportation channels Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery Prepare, process, and submit required customs-clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading Track and monitor shipments and provide regular customer status updates Manage customer relationships and address concerns or issues Collaborate with logistics, finance, operations, and other internal departments Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other applicable requirements Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred Experience in ocean import and export is highly desirable Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations Understanding of trade laws and regulations Fluency in English is required Knowledge of additional languages is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing ocean freight logistics, including customs clearance and compliance with trade laws.
