This position is located at the Stanford Redwood City Campus, and will be considered for an option of hybrid work (splitting time between on-site and remote work) or remote work, subject to operational need.
Your focus:
As an Oracle Compensation Functional Solutions Consultant in the Total Rewards and Operations (TRO) team within University Human Resources (UHR), you will be responsible for collaborating with UHR leaders and stakeholders to identify and implement process and system solutions while ensuring the effective delivery of HR services. The Compensation Solution Consultant will play a key role in our Oracle HCM implementation and sustainment efforts by applying functional knowledge and expertise in designing modern day solutions to our HR needs in the areas of Compensation, Benefits and Human Resources. The consultant will provide additional functional support for Payroll, Time & Labor, Recruiting and Talent Management when Compensation inputs are needed. Additional functional support for existing UHR Stanford solutions may be required.
The Compensation and HR Solutions Consultant is a key functional adviser to the HR organization and will be expected to maintain knowledge of HR market trends, applications, and services in order to do so. The incumbent must be able to articulate technology and service positioning and business value through presentations and solution demonstration. They will identify key business needs and research processes and system solutions for meeting those needs.
The Compensation and HR Solutions Consultant will collaborate with HR Solution Architect and HR Solution Team members to architect and deliver solutions. They will regularly evaluate systems, monitor the progress, and measure success metrics and make recommendations for advancements and improvements. Provide guidance and expertise on system functionalities, integration points and data requirements. CORE DUTIES:
Identify new legislative requirements, new policies, and procedures that may have system impact(s) that will lead to the elicitation and gathering of business and system requirements.
Lead efforts to ensure that information systems support the organizational mission and objectives and coordinate the process of defining, investigating, and solving problems related to business systems and special projects.
Manage, from a client business perspective, the requirements for related systems projects; ensure a high level of client satisfaction by monitoring the delivery of ongoing information systems to the organization.
Lead and coordinate projects to assist business owners in evaluating the potential for automating existing or proposed work functions or processes and assess the feasibility of creating or modifying systems to meet user requirements.
Manage external vendor or partner relationships.
HR technology projects conduct discovery sessions with HR and campus stakeholders to build relationships and understand their requirements.
Gain, maintain, and demonstrate deep knowledge of the University’s HCM solutions to maintain credibility with stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver value-based HCM software demonstrations.
Partner with Change Management resources to develop a training approach and end-user enablement for process/technology projects.
Assist with composing and developing materials, including but not limited to: Presentations, Meeting follow-up materials covering HCM solutions to stakeholders, Demo content creation and management as needed, and system guide creation and management as needed.
Partner and collaborate with other UHR Teams and other Stanford stakeholders for the delivery and execution of various UHR projects. The solutions consultant may plan, direct, coordinate, monitor, and review the work of others during all phases of the project team's work and coordinate the planning, development, and presentation of training for users of business systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and ten years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in enterprise HCM cloud systems design and implementation in Compensation and CORE HR.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Oracle Compensation and HCM Cloud implementation experience is desired
Oracle Certification in Compensation and Core Human Resources is desired
Deep Functional knowledge in two or more areas in Workforce Deployment, Compensation, and Benefits.
Functional knowledge of Core HR, Talent Management, and Compensation relationship to the Payroll module is desired.
Other Oracle certifications are a plus
Knowledge and Experience in Higher Education Compensation Philosophy.
Experience in Faculty, Location-Based, and Bargaining Unit Pay Structure in Oracle Fusion.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Subject matter expertise for area(s) of responsibility, specifically HCM platform.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, trends, and/or regulatory requirements; current knowledge of rapidly changing computer technology.
Expertise in computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow.
Demonstrated expertise in business, management and/or enterprise computer applications and database driven applications.
Ability to understand and apply the software development lifecycle and project management techniques.
Ability to design and document complex business systems.
Excellent organizational leadership, planning, and change management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, and political acumen skills. Able to influence people, solve problems, troubleshoot, think creatively, and resolve conflicts.
Proven presentation experience and comfort with senior management audiences.
Deep knowledge of specific HCM platform and proficiency in system integrations.
Subject matter expertise in HR processes (core HR, payroll, benefits, talent management, compensation, absence, recruiting, etc.).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting in place at computer for long periods of time with extensive keyboarding/dexterity; occasionally use a telephone; rarely writing by hand.
Occasionally stand/walk; frequently sitting; frequently grasp lightly/fine manipulation; constantly use a computer; rarely writing by hand; rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May work extended hours, evenings, and weekends.

This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate.
The expected pay range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
