Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Georgia or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 4-5 Description: Unit details include weekend rotation every other weekend. No on-call requirement. Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed. If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them. Compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, there will be a push-back of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Locals accepted at the same rate. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The work environment supports interdisciplinary collaboration, including various therapy and service teams. Common patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The average daily census is 28, with a facility capacity of 28 beds. Expect to manage a variety of patient conditions and utilize specialized skills in patient care. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking and adaptability are essential. Compliance documents must be submitted by the designated deadline. Travel experience preferred, but not mandatory. Knowledge and skills in telemetry, medication administration, and post-operative care are valuable. Familiarity with charting systems is required. The unit operates with a patient ratio of 4 during both day and night shifts.
