You must apply by 11:59 PM prior to the posted closing date. This position is part of the Driver License Associates Program, the hiring rate for this position is $47,255. All Driver License Examiner I (DLE I) recommended candidates will be offered a hiring salary of $47,255. After successful completion of 12 months in the position, the employee will be moved to $49,618 if they have completed all the required training for a DLE, have at least a “meets expectations” on their performance review and does not have any active disciplinary actions. After successful completion of 18 months in the position, have at least a “meets expectations” on their performance review and does not have any active disciplinary actions, they will graduate from the Driver License Associates Program and become a Driver License Examiner for North Carolina with a new annual salary of $51,980. If selected for this position, the candidate will be required to report for orientation and their first week of employment to DMV Headquarters in Rocky Mount, NC. Driver License with no suspensions or revocations within the past 10 years in any state for any motor vehicle-related offense and no more than 5 active points. The candidate that is selected for the position will be given a conditional offer of employment that would allow him or her to begin work subject to the results of the background check. Customer service experience (friendly, enthusiastic attitude who enjoys serving customers) with a diverse clientele. Knowledge of basic computer software that includes database programs, Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly adapt to internal systems.
