This role leads the wheelchair transportation department for PACE participants, ensuring safe, efficient and dignified transport. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor and develop the Driver workforce fostering accountability, respect and teamwork. Oversee recruitment, onboarding and performance management for transportation staff. Partner with dispatch operations to ensure daily scheduling, dispatch functions and route execution run according to plan. Attend PACE Center IDT and Care Planning meetings daily to provide feedback on transportation needs and communicate challenges. Create and implement performance improvement plans, write‑ups and coaching logs. Conduct departmental, safety meetings and quarterly staff reviews. Ensure efficient daily route planning, vehicle assignment and workload distribution. Validate schedules against participant appointments, resource availability and operational goals. Support real‑time problem solving and decision‑making for scheduling, vehicle and personnel issues. Maintain participant records, vehicle logs and safety training documentation. Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Client Account Management and leadership. Support service recovery efforts and address participant feedback within required timelines. Participate in all required PACE meetings (IDT, QAPI, staff meetings, family care discussions). Ensure compliance with PACE, CMS, HIPAA, ADA and internal KPI policies. Oversee accident/incident reporting and ensure training follow‑up. Maintain vehicle inspection, maintenance and compliance records. Help prepare capital requests and replacement forecasts for fleet growth. Participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed. Qualifications High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Valid state driver’s license; commercial driver’s license preferred (passenger endorsement). Experience in senior care or related human services; at least one year with the elderly population. 3+ years of direct transportation, dispatch and logistics experience. Previous supervisory or management experience required. Knowledge of transportation scheduling systems, HIPAA regulations and ADA standards. Strong leadership and staff development background with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Sound judgment and ability to manage complex schedules, people and priorities. Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, database management); proficiency with dispatching and transportation software (e.g., OCS, MS Teams, Rippling). English language proficiency; bilingual language ability preferred. PACE operational knowledge and PACE‑related leadership experience preferred. Working Conditions Weekend, holiday and any shift work as necessary. Might be required to drive vehicles as needed. Physical Requirements Push 50lbs and lift 150lbs minimum. Seated position while operating computer, keyboard, mouse, phones and printers. Standing/walking for up to 4 hours. Compensation The pay range for this role is $47,000 - $52,000 USD per year.
