Location: Oak Lawn & Park Ridge, Illinois 60453 Facility: Advocate Children's Hospital (ACH Enterprise)

Unit Overview (PICU / PCICU)
- 1923 Bed Pediatric ICU
- Average Census: 1518 patients/day
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 2:1
- Patient Population:
- Respiratory conditions
- Congenital heart disease
- Hematology/Oncology
- Post-operative care
- Trauma cases
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to pediatric patients
- Manage ventilators, drips, and post-op recovery
- Collaborate with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
- Float as needed within pediatric units
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience
- Active Illinois RN License
- BLS & PALS Certification (Required)
- NRP (Preferred)
- First-time travelers accepted
Support & Staffing
- Charge Nurse available on every shift
- CNA support for patient care & room turnover
- Respiratory Therapy 24/7
- Hospitalist & Intensivist coverage 24/7
- IV/VAT Team available
- Phlebotomy services in-house
- Telemetry monitoring when needed

- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
- Patient Monitoring: Med Sonic

Scheduling & Shift Details
- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 75% of holidays
- Schedule Cycle: 6 weeks
- RTO: Requires Resource Team approval

- 2 days unit-specific orientation (PICU/PCICU)
