Summary Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to Oncology population. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Adheres to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Job Title: Oncology Technician PRN Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Minimum Field of Study: Nursing Preferred Education Level: Preferred Field of Study: Preferred Education Notes: Licensure Certification Needed: Yes Minimum Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Other (If other, please enter details in section to the right) Minimum Licensure (Other): CNA not required for students who have completed nursing fundamental course and are actively enrolled in nursing program (LPN, ASN, ADN, BSN). Must submit transcripts to department manager a minimum of twice per calendar year. Must provide authorization to test (ATT-NCLEX RN or ATT-NCLEX-PN, schedule and pass the test within 90 days of graduation from nursing program, as appropriate. Training Required Successful completion of Moffitts Oncology Technician orientation and checklist within the first ninety days of employment. Basic familiarity with nursing procedures and knowledge of medical terminology. Fundamental computer skills. Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills. Salary Range $21.50 - $21.50 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
