Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

Job Description

This role focuses on performing preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of industrial mechanical and electrical equipment on 3rd shift. You will support production by keeping equipment such as Fanuc robotics, CNC machines, machining centers, forge presses, ovens, conveyors, and related systems operating safely and efficiently, working with voltages up to 480V 3-phase.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment including Fanuc robotics, vision systems, Neotech man machines, CNC machines, machining centers, forge presses, ovens, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and bearings.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, and related components to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues up to 480V 3-phase, including motors, switches, control gear, and associated circuits.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and symbols to identify issues and plan repairs.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe maintenance and repair activities.
• Use multimeters and other test equipment to check voltages, continuity, and component functionality.
• Install and wire control panels, ensuring proper connections, grounding, and labeling.
• Diagnose, isolate, and correct electrical failures, including re-routing circuits and replacing faulty components.
• Check inputs and outputs on PLCs and perform basic PLC troubleshooting when experienced.
• Troubleshoot and repair Fanuc robotic systems to restore proper operation and alignment with production requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to share on-call responsibilities and support weekend coverage.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support accurate maintenance records.
• Train on 1st shift initially to learn equipment, processes, and safety procedures before transitioning to 3rd shift.

Essential Skills

• At least 5+ years of industrial multi-craft maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, and similar systems.
• Electrical maintenance experience working with voltages up to 480V 3-phase.
• Ability to perform lockout/tagout procedures safely and consistently.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, symbols, and blueprints.
• Proficiency using multimeters and related electrical diagnostic tools.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing Fanuc robotic systems.
• Ability to perform basic PLC troubleshooting and check inputs and outputs on PLCs.
• Capability to install and wire control panels and make safe, code-compliant electrical connections.
• Ability to work 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with rotating weekend work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PLC troubleshooting and editing skills, including reading and following ladder logic and performing basic program edits.
• Fabrication and welding experience for repair and modification of equipment and components.
• Experience working on CNC machines and press machines.
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance history.
• Positive, professional attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Sufficient mechanical and electrical aptitude to handle complex troubleshooting in an industrial environment.

Work Environment

The facility includes a foundry, so the work area can become hot, particularly during warmer months and near production processes. Much of the equipment is older, so maintenance and troubleshooting often involve working with oily and greasy components and surfaces. This is a hands-on industrial setting where you will regularly work with Fanuc robotics, CNC machines, machining centers, forge presses, ovens, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase. The standard schedule is 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with mandatory weekend work that rotates among the team; you can expect to work approximately two weekends per month, with time-and-a-half pay on Saturdays and double time when working on Sundays. Initial training takes place on a 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. schedule before transitioning to the permanent 3rd shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.07/hr.
