The Product Lead – Customer Profile & Platform will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for key platform capabilities that support unified customer data, operational workflows, and cross-channel experiences. This role partners closely with engineering, data, analytics, privacy, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact product solutions. What You Will Do • Partner with business and technology leaders to establish cross-functional alignment of technical feasibility with business needs and product vision. • Lead discovery efforts with internal stakeholders to build a high value product plan/roadmap. • Manage the product roadmap using business intelligence, VOC and analytics to prioritize epics & user-stories. • Evaluate business ideas for usability, value, feasibility and business viability. • Prioritize efforts in partnership with business and technology stakeholders, influence teams to align and execute. • Develop a mastery-level understanding of customer needs, team member needs, pain-points in the experience, and customer priorities. • Partner with analytics and BI team members to perform in-depth analysis on customer behavior. Substantiate gaps and opportunities in the customer experience with quantitative & qualitative data. • Work closely with UX practice to drive and employ best-practices and design thinking to ensure best-in-class experiences are baked into all customer-facing deliverables. • Measure and optimize against key metrics. Conduct A/B tests to continuously improve the customer experience. • Present product plans & roadmaps to cross-organizational stakeholders, executive leaders, and peers to demonstrate performance awareness and thought leadership. Product Strategy & Vision Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for customer profile and related platform capabilities. Align product initiatives with organizational goals, platform architecture, and long-term technology strategy. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enable new business capabilities. Platform Development Lead the design and evolution of scalable platform services and APIs supporting enterprise customer data and profile management. Ensure solutions are built with modern architecture principles including cloud infrastructure, microservices, and API-first design. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, data, analytics, and security teams to deliver high-quality product solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders across product, marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure platform capabilities support business needs. Product Execution Create clear product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria. Act as Product Owner within Agile teams, managing backlogs, sprint planning, and delivery milestones. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of platform features and enhancements. Data Quality & Governance Work with data, privacy, and compliance teams to establish standards for data accuracy, security, and governance. Ensure platform capabilities align with regulatory and compliance requirements. Performance & Optimization Define success metrics and KPIs for platform performance and adoption. Continuously evaluate product performance and drive improvements based on insights and feedback. Innovation & Technology Enablement Explore opportunities to leverage advanced analytics, AI/ML, and automation to enhance platform capabilities. Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices in platform development and data management. Stakeholder Communication Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, and outcomes to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Gather feedback and translate business requirements into actionable product improvements. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Position is hybrid Candidates must live within 50 miles of the following OneMain corporate offices: Baltimore MD, Wilmington DE, Charlotte NC, or Irving TX. Potential for extension or conversion to FTE For conversion consideration, candidates must live within 50 miles of a OneMain corporate office as previously advised Skill/Experience/Education: Mandatory: • 5-7 years of product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. • Experience working in agile operating models. • Analytical mindset: ability to turn findings from data into executable plans that meet business objectives. • Working with distributed teams and using agile delivery tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence). • Demonstrated experience working with lending products, understanding of platform functionality, processing flows, APIs/data transmission technology, and/or new business integration services. • Experience leading scrum team(s) through an end-to-end program of work via SDLC. • Proficient in writing detailed user-stories and acceptance criteria. Desired Skills: • 5-7 years of financial industry experience. • 3+ years working with technical products such as APIs, data platforms, or backend services. • Proven track record improving conversion rates for top-of-funnel digital experiences for web and mobile environments. • Strong understanding of modern software architecture including: Cloud platforms, APIs, Microservices, Data platforms and integrations • Experience in ideating concepts, evaluating, building, delivering and iterating digital products. • Demonstrated product delivery experience. Ability to self-start business opportunities from concept to reality – emphasizing product innovation and simplified operational processes. • Strong relationship building, prioritization and influencing skills. • Technology experience within the financial services industry. • Strong leadership aptitude and the ability to influence effectively in a matrixed environment. • Experience communicating in written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders.
