Registered Nurse, Emergency DepartmentARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (12-Hour Rotating Shifts) in Walnut Creek, California.Location: Walnut Creek, CAAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule/Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts with varied start times including 5 AM, 7 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, and 11 AM. Requires working every other weekend and one major holiday.Job DescriptionThe Emergency Department at the facility is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team. This unit caters to a high volume of patients, with an average daily census of 190-200, ensuring an environment that demands quick critical thinking and strong nursing skills. The patient demographic primarily consists of elderly patients, and the facility emphasizes patient experience and nursing excellence.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.Perform triage for ambulance patients at bedside.Manage and oversee patient care including assessment, planning, and evaluation.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physician Assistants, Respiratory Therapists, and Swat teams for advanced lines.Utilize Epic for patient documentation and medication administration through Pyxis.Required ExperienceTo qualify for this position, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including 2 years specifically in emergency nursing, and at least 1-2 travel assignments or significant Emergency Department experience.Certifications/LicensureRequired: California RN License, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) or ENPC, NIH Stroke Scale.Preferred: TNCC, CEN.About ARMStaffingFounded in 2011 and a member of the ARGroup, LLC, ARMStaffing connects dedicated nurses and allied health professionals with the facilities that need them most.
