Staff Tax Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $90,000 per year.



Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Organize and maintain tax documentation to support accurate filings and audit readiness.
• Assist with financial reporting tasks by providing tax-related data and analysis.
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to gather information and resolve tax issues.
• Meet required deadlines by managing multiple tax projects in an organized and timely manner.

• Demonstrate strong understanding of tax compliance processes and tax preparation procedures.
• Apply familiarity with financial reporting and general accounting principles to support tax work.
• Utilize strong analytical and problem?solving skills to evaluate tax data and identify discrepancies.
• Manage detailed information effectively under time constraints and competing priorities.
• Use tax and accounting software tools confidently to complete filings and reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Possess prior experience preparing tax work for businesses, individuals, or real estate entities.
• Show strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
• Demonstrate intent to pursue CPA certification or hold a CPA license as a preferred qualification.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a deadline driven environment.
