Shift/Qualification Requirements Shift: Day Shift, 40 hours per week. 5x8 schedule. Start time varies. No weekends or holidays. Travel Assignment. Contract Length: 13 weeks. Required Certificates: ARRT, BLS required (AHA). Active AZ License/Certification. 2+ Years of experience required. Wide range of Varian equipment experience required. Must have travel experience. Specialty Overview As a radiation therapist, candidates work under an oncologist and physicist as part of a medical team to prepare patients and administer radiation treatments for cancer and some other conditions. They take precise measurements of patients for treatment and may fit them with specialized equipment to be used during sessions. During treatment, they will monitor the patient's responses, including side effects, and may adjust the schedule or doses of radiation accordingly.
