Job Description\n GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lincoln, Nebraska.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2308.00\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Charge - Med Surg\n Job Details:\n • Charge RN position working 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM\n • Charge nurse ideally does not take patients, but may take a patient assignment if staffing is short or census is less than 22\n • Department operates under a dyad model with each nurse supported by their own CNA and a virtual nurse\n • Nursing ratio is 1:6/7, CNA ratio is 1:6/7, and virtual nurse ratio is 1:30\n • 42-bed Med/Surg unit serving medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients\n • 1:6 ratio expected at least once per week\n • No titratable drips except Heparin\n • Telemetry available on the floor with a centralized telemetry station\n • Respiratory therapy available 24 hours on the floor\n • Nurse aides and patient care techs available at a 1:6/7 ratio\n • Weekend and holiday requirements on an as-needed basis\n • No on-call or standby requirements\n • Floating may be required to PCU or Burn unit\n • Scrub color required: Navy blue\n • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments\n • Orientation includes first week of classroom training followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor\n • Pass/fail open book exam during orientation requiring a minimum score of 90% to pass\n • Charting system: EPIC\n • BSN not required\n • Required certifications: BLS\n • 50-mile radius rule applies\n • RTO requests must be submitted upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract)\n Facility:\n This acute care facility is a full-service hospital offering a wide range of medical, surgical, and orthopedic services.
