Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the full school year. This full-time position focuses on elementary-aged students, allowing you to utilize your specialized training in school-based occupational therapy. You'll work alongside educators and licensed therapists to implement treatment plans that help students thrive both academically and socially.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current COTA certification and valid licensure
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Proficiency in providing therapeutic interventions to children
- Ability to document and communicate student progress effectively with the multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Passion for fostering student independence, inclusion, and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic activities as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with hourly rates ranging from $30 to $45 depending on your school-based experience.
