Electrical/I&C Designer - Interns

Job Description Kent is looking for an Electrical / Instrumentation & Controls Designer – Intern to be based in Deer Park, Texas. Responsibilities Prepare related package deliverables, including engineering deliverables CAD drawings, instrument spec sheets, IO lists (etc.) in consultation with a supervisor. Coordinate with supervisors or team members to research information, finalize drafting packages, prepare/update spreadsheets (etc.). Ensure compliance with project and company procedures. Support design assignments as needed, including verifying/update of records. Keep supervisor informed of work progress and challenges. Participate in safety meetings, client presentations and / or other meetings as needed. Qualifications Working knowledge of Design & Drafting technology. Proficient in AutoCAD and the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, etc.) Must be a current enrolled student in a credited college/ technical college. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Capable of working as an In-plant “resident” designer on location. Good communication skills working as a team. Communication Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal/rapport building skills necessary to work effectively as a team member, and to plan/coordinate processes for results.
