Data Engineer

Salary: $106,500 - 177,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• We look for at least 4 years of experience in a dedicated data engineering position.
• We expect 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting data pipelines and integration solutions.
• We need strong production experience with Databricks.
• We require solid SQL development capability.
• We look for experience with Azure-based data services.
• We value experience supporting reporting, analytics, system integrations, and data governance efforts.
• We expect demonstrated skill in conceptual and logical data modeling.
• We need experience working with both structured and unstructured data.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with data streaming and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Preferred qualifications include exposure to large-scale cloud migration or modernization programs.
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Preferred qualifications include experience supporting business-critical applications and highly available data platforms.
• Preferred qualifications include prior mentoring experience or technical guidance within a collaborative team setting.

• We design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that power reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
• We develop data ingestion and integration workflows from a range of structured and unstructured sources.
• We create and tune data transformations using SQL, Databricks, and Azure technologies.
• We support both batch and real-time processing solutions.
• We implement data quality, validation, and monitoring controls to keep data trusted and reliable.
• We troubleshoot and resolve pipeline performance, stability, and data quality issues.
• We develop conceptual and logical data models aligned with business reporting needs.
• We partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to translate data requirements into scalable solutions.
• We collaborate with application development teams to understand source systems and build efficient data flows into enterprise data environments.
• We support data governance through standardization, documentation, and quality controls.
• We work closely with Data Systems Analysts, Analytics teams, and Technology partners to solve business problems with data.
• We communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We use modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery and efficiency.
• We share knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
