Estimator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join a dynamic and rapidly growing general contracting firm based in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing accurate, competitive estimates for ground-up and interior commercial construction projects across sectors such as education, retail, healthcare, and municipal work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for commercial construction projects.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and RFPs to determine scope and prepare pricing strategies.
• Coordinate and solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors; analyze subcontractor quotes for completeness and competitiveness.
• Lead bid reviews with project teams and senior management.
• Collaborate closely with preconstruction, project management, and field teams to ensure alignment of scope, budget, and schedule.
• Maintain and update estimating tools, historical data, and cost databases.
• Participate in value engineering efforts and suggest cost-effective alternatives.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating (ground-up and/or interiors).
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Procore, Sage, or similar platforms).
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and costs.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
