The Sr. Associate, FPA Projects and COE will be responsible for overseeing, leading and managing the companys Anaplan Environment, long-term analytical projects, and new development of new Anaplan models. In addition to these responsibilities, this role will be responsible for providing analytical support for Invitation Homes executive leadership team in collaboration with Property Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Operations, Asset Management, Investment Management, and Investor Relations counterparts as it pertains to FPA and/or Anaplan./ppEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliResponsible for overseeing updates of all key hierarchies in the Anaplan data hub and spoke models, including but not limited to the chart of accounts hierarchy, property list hierarchy, and shared services hierarchy./liliResponsible for overseeing monthly updates, data integrations, and tie outs of financials and operational metrics within the Anaplan data hub and spoke models./liliResponsible for managing the Companys Anaplan roadmap and coordinating with internal and external teams to prioritize and implement the roadmap/liliResponsible for developing and managing a team of analyst/analysts that are well prepared to execute the key priorities of the FPA Projects and Anaplan COE./liliOversee and monitor Anaplan Licenses allocation, Anaplan role assignments, and Anaplan control environment./liliAssist in monthly, quarterly, and annual PL reviews, quarterly reforecasting, and annual budgeting processes to the via Anaplan/liliApply expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and create actionable recommendations./liliLeverage tools such as Anaplan, Excel, KNIME, Power BI, Tableau, and programming languages like SQL, R, Python for data solutions and analytics./liliBuild relationships with various business units to identify opportunities for deep analytics on financial and operating performance metrics./liliDefine business and functional requirements of various Anaplan initiatives or process improvement opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technical designs align with requirements./liliCoordinate with other functional areas of the business, including the Property and Corporate Accounting, SEC Reporting, Business Analytics, Capital Markets, Operations, Asset Management, and Investment Management teams, to review, analyze, confirm, reconcile, and report financial results and operating performance metrics at property, departmental, regional, and corporate levels./liliAnalyze data and identify trends and key findings in both qualitative and quantitative data sets from various systems, including Yardi, the Companys internal Enterprise Data Warehouse, Anaplan, Salesforce, ADP, and various other systems./liliIdentify opportunities to design new and/or refine existing analyses and processes to improve the FPA teams productivity, accuracy, and efficiency over time./liliSupport ad-hoc analyses and projects, including automation of reporting from various internal software platforms, creation and/or maintenance of financial and operational reporting dashboards, and data visualizations./liliDefine business and functional requirements of various initiatives and collaborate with internal and external technical resources to ensure technical designs align with business requirements./liliCoordinate with the Business Analytics and Technology teams to advocate for FPAs data and technology needs to enable successful execution of our Anaplan roadmap/liliParticipate in and support user acceptance testing to ensure that project deliverables are completed in a timely fashion and objectives are met./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpEducation and/or Experience:/pulliBachelors Degree and strong academic record. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, JD, etc.) or certifications (CFP, CFA, CPA, etc.) a plus, but not required./liliMinimum 3-8 years experience in FPA, Anaplan, and/or other connected planning platforms./liliFinancial modeling and/or business analytics experience strongly preferred./li/ulpSkills/Specialized Knowledge/pulliFamiliarity with strategic corporate performance management tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, and/or other IBM or Oracle systems./liliHigh degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)./liliComfort and familiarity with basic finance and accounting theory. Ability to read and comprehend financial statements, including both GAAP and non-GAAP reporting./liliHigh degree of intellectual curiosity and discipline required. Ability to demonstrate strong self-initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
