Inventory Specialist

This role requires up to 20% travel in market (Boise / Treasure Valley)

Job Description

• Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, supplies, materials, and organizational assets. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Process inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, distributions, and disposals.
• Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure efficient access and accountability.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical audits to verify inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged goods.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and inventory control standards.
• Coordinate with procurement staff and internal departments regarding inventory needs and deliveries.
• Assist with warehouse operations, including stocking, labeling, packaging, and shipping activities. Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, efficiency, and asset accountability.
• Support annual inventory reviews, audits, and asset verification initiatives.
• Operate inventory management software and other tracking tools to maintain accurate records. Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of inventory and organizational assets.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational operations.
