About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 4x10 Hour (08:00 - 18:30); 5x8 Hour (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience required License: NY State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience - Ability to float as required by facility needs - Call required with a response time of less than 30 minutes Description: Registered Nurses in this position will work in a Cath Lab setting. They will be responsible for diagnostic and interventional catheterizations. Experience with left heart catheterization and right heart catheterization is essential. Knowledge in monitoring and managing procedural sedation is a necessity. Nurses must be proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Call frequency includes 11 to 14 days, including rotating weekend call. During holidays, 24-hour call will be part of the requirements. Clinical competencies in procedural sedation and patient monitoring are critical for this role. All requests for time off must be submitted during the hiring process. Nurses will undergo a telemetry assessment during their initial orientation. This assessment focuses on cardiac rhythm interpretation essential for patient safety. If assessment benchmarks are not met, educational resources will be provided.
