Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented DMV Clerk to join our client's team and support the registration, titling, permitting, and compliance activities for a large fleet of agricultural vehicles, trailers, and equipment. This position will serve as the primary liaison between the company and various state agencies, ensuring all vehicles and equipment remain properly registered and compliant with applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate will have experience processing DMV transactions, maintaining accurate records, managing deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process vehicle registrations, title transfers, renewals, and ownership changes.
- Prepare and submit DMV paperwork for company-owned vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Maintain records for registrations, permits, insurance documents, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor registration and permit expiration dates to ensure timely renewals.
- Coordinate with DMV offices, regulatory agencies, vendors, and internal departments regarding vehicle-related matters.
- Research and resolve registration discrepancies, title issues, and compliance concerns.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files for all fleet assets.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested.
- Track vehicle additions, disposals, transfers, and status changes.
- Process lien releases and maintain ownership documentation.
- Support accounting and operations teams with vehicle-related reporting and recordkeeping.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of DMV, title, registration, fleet administration, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle registration, titling, permits, and DMV regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive documentation.
- Experience working in agriculture, transportation, logistics, construction, or fleet operations is a plus.
