Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a general medical/surgical unit that specializes in caring for patients with stroke/TIA, UTI, sepsis, pneumonia, and other conditions. The unit accommodates patients from various healthcare facilities and the surrounding community, including those in assisted living and nursing care facilities. This role accepts first-time travelers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical and surgical nursing care.
• Manage patient assessments and establish individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in compliance with protocols.
• Utilize rapid response and code teams when necessary.
• Implement isolation precautions and handle infection control measures.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have an active RN license (State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submission).
• Minimum of 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience with various charting systems is required.
• Travel experience is preferred.
