Production Supervisor: Lead Teams to Safe, On-Time Quality

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day implementation of manufacturing activities in one or more production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals while managing a budget. Responsibilities Leading and building a strong team, including hiring and firing decisions. Train associates on standard manufacturing processes and ensure goals are met for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), while promoting continuous improvement. Prioritizing production schedules based on customer needs, equipment performance, staff efficiency, material availability, and business goals. Coordinating with different teams is essential to ensure on‑time product delivery. Identifying areas that need improvement to make systems work effectively, regularly assessing associate performance, providing feedback, and completing annual performance reviews and the compensation process in accordance with company policies. Managing the area’s budget, including labor, production, maintenance, supplies, tooling, and fixtures. Suggesting budget changes for capital expenses and labor costs, developing work schedules, and supervising skilled and semi‑skilled staff. Qualifications Minimum education and experience requirements: High‑school degree with 8+ years’ experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience. Ability to work well in fast‑paced environments with a strong sense of urgency, adapting to changes in responsibilities based on business needs. Open to working any assigned shift. Self‑motivated and capable of inspiring others with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to set performance expectations and address sensitive issues. Problem‑solving skills to improve organizational performance and proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading continuous improvement, Six Sigma efforts, and Kaizen project teams. Demonstrated planning and organizational agility.
