Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

$1689.12/week - Job Summary: Provides technical leadership and supervises laboratory personnel, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all laboratory testing. Manages laboratory operations, develops policies, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities: Oversee all laboratory testing processes, including point-of-care testing (POCT), ensuring test validity and accuracy. Supervise and train laboratory staff on instrumentation, procedures, and technology updates to maintain competency standards. Establish and monitor laboratory performance metrics, including precision, accuracy, reference, and reportable ranges. Develop and maintain laboratory policies, quality control practices, and safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations. Evaluate emerging laboratory technologies and recommend their integration to improve efficiency and testing quality. Serve as a liaison to other departments and act as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist when necessary. Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences, or allied health field. Possess at least five years of clinical laboratory experience. Maintain a valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the state of employment. Certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA). Demonstrate leadership experience in a clinical laboratory setting (preferred).
