Field Service Engineer I

EMSAR (Equipment Management Service and Repair) is a fast‑growing national technical services company headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio, providing maintenance, repair and installation services to OEMs in the Healthcare, Laboratory, Self‑Service Kiosk, and Critical Power sectors. Job Details Level: Experienced | Location: Phoenix, AZ | Position Type: Full Time | Education Level: High School | Travel Percentage: Up to 25% | Job Shift: Day Services Provided On‑site technical field support, including maintenance & repair FDA field change orders (“recalls”) Bench repair and remanufacturing Installation Call center Contract manufacturing and logistics FDA compliance and validation Project management Training and education Responsibilities Provide on‑site preventative maintenance, repairs, performance verifications, calibrations, and software/hardware upgrades on EMSAR‑supported equipment. Deliver intermediate‑level engineer support and service work. Execute quality practices specified by EMSAR and product vendors. Manage and complete assigned work orders in EMSAR's Computerized Management System platform, Servicemax (≈25% of daily duties). Perform additional duties as needed or assigned by supervisor/manager. Maintain professional appearance, including dress, personal appearance, and tools and equipment. Control and maintain all EMSAR assets, such as tools, parts, and test equipment needed to perform work tasks. Promote teamwork and cooperation between EMSAR associates and partner staff. Collaborate regularly with the dispatcher for work assignments. Operate onsite at dedicated client facilities. Provide job‑site support to entry‑level technicians. Support and apply appropriate quality‑system processes. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (2‑4 years technical experience) or Associate's degree or higher and/or trade school degree with 1+ year technical experience (internship, externship, apprenticeship acceptable). Valid driver’s license and liability insurance. Ability to drive personal, fleet and/or rental vehicles. Analytical skills: read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, policies, and procedures. Intermediate technical skills with field service experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills that foster positive internal and external relationships. Planning and organizing skills: prioritize and plan activities; use time efficiently. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as a field service engineer for any one or more divisions. Works independently with some direct supervision. Work Environment and Physical Demands Extensive periods of sitting at a computer terminal documenting services. Extensive periods of standing and walking while performing services. Frequent bending, squatting, and stair climbing. Use of both hands without restriction and manipulation of small hand tools.
