Senior Director, Fixed Income Strategy & Advisor Enablement

BNY Wealth is seeking a dynamic and market-savvy Head of Fixed Income Strategy & Advisor Enablement to lead the strategy, positioning, and engagement around fixed income solutions for our wealth clients.

This leader will serve as a senior fixed income expert for the business, bringing deep bond market investment expertise, strong commercial instincts, and the emotional intelligence (EQ) needed to build trust across advisors, clients, and partners.

This is not a fixed income portfolio manager role. However, the ideal candidate will bring prior experience in fixed income portfolio management or direct investment decision-making, allowing them to credibly represent fixed income capabilities, market views, and portfolio construction insights.

The Head of Fixed Income Strategy & Advisor Enablement will work closely with field leadership and financial advisors to help drive fixed income business growth, support client engagement, and enhance the delivery of investment insights and solutions across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior fixed income subject matter expert for BNY Wealth, with deep knowledge of bond markets, sectors, structures, and portfolio applications.
• Partner closely with field leadership and financial advisors to support fixed income strategy, business development, and client opportunities.
• Act as a highly credible, market-facing representative who can sell fixed income ideas, solutions, and capabilities internally and externally.
• Translate market developments, rate trends, credit dynamics, and macroeconomic conditions into actionable perspectives for advisors and clients.
• Support advisors in identifying client needs and positioning fixed income solutions appropriately across portfolios.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships across the wealth organization, serving as a trusted partner to the field.
• Deliver presentations, participate in client meetings, and represent BNY Wealth in advisor, client, and industry settings.
• Travel as needed to meet with advisors, clients, and business partners across markets.
• Provide insight into fixed income portfolio construction, risk management, and investment implementation based on prior hands-on investment experience.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across investments, product, distribution, and leadership to help shape the fixed income offering and go-to-market approach.

Required Qualifications

• Significant experience in fixed income investing, bond markets, and wealth or investment advisory environments.
• Prior experience in fixed income portfolio management or a closely related investment role, with the ability to speak credibly about portfolio construction and implementation.
• Strong commercial orientation, with demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and sell investment ideas and solutions.
• High level of emotional intelligence (EQ), with exceptional relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with field teams and advisors in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
• Excellent presentation skills and executive presence.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
