We are seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Property Manager for a Minneapolis apartment community. The ideal candidate will have strong affordable housing experience and a solid understanding of HUD, Section 8, and compliance requirements .

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of an affordable housing community
• Manage resident relations and provide excellent customer service
• Process applications, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals
• Complete annual and interim recertifications
• Verify income, assets, and household eligibility
• Maintain accurate and complete resident files
• Ensure compliance with HUD, Section 8, and applicable affordable housing regulations
• Monitor rent collection, delinquency, and resident accounts
• Coordinate maintenance requests, inspections, and apartment turn
• Conduct regular property and unit inspections
• Prepare for and assist with compliance and agency inspections
• Communicate with residents regarding policies, notices, and lease requirements
• Maintain occupancy and leasing goals
• Work closely with maintenance, compliance, vendors, and management
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate property records

Qualifications

• Affordable housing property management experience required
• Experience with HUD and/or Section 8 programs strongly preferred
• Knowledge of affordable housing compliance and recertification requirements
• Experience with income verification and resident eligibility
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and resident relations skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Property management software experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
