Workers' Compensation attorney

Job Description

A well-established and well-respected firm in Florida is seeking to add Attorneys to their Workers Compensation practice.


This position can be REMOTE with ocasional office visits once a month. Must be located in South Florida.


Represent the firm’s insurance company clients and their insureds, and corporate clients, in all facets of civil litigation. Manage cases independently and as a part of the case team.


Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school; a member in good standing of the Florida Bar
• Strong drafting skills
• Highly team-oriented
• 3+ years of Workers Compensation experience

Responsibilities include:

• Case management
• Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Corresponding with clients and opposing counsel
• Legal and technical research
• Providing guidance to law clerks and other associates
• Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Accurately and promptly tracking billable time
