Community Outreach & Marketing Coordinator Position Title Community Outreach & Marketing Coordinator Position Status Position Status Full-Time Budget Summary Base Pay Base Pay $45,000 Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Community Outreach & Marketing Coordinator supports Workforce Development program recruitment, community engagement, marketing initiatives, and stakeholder outreach. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting with marketing campaigns, social media communications, event coordination, relationship-building activities, and data management. The coordinator also provides limited support or administrative and documentation functions during peak operational periods. Responsibilities Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Community Outreach Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with employers, community organizations, workforce partners, educational institutions, and other stakeholders. Represent Workforce Development programs at recruitment events, job fairs, community meetings, and outreach activities. Support efforts to increase awareness of workforce training programs and services. Participate in community engagement initiatives and promotional activities. Marketing and Communications Assist in developing and implementing marketing and communication campaigns. Create and distribute content for social media, email communications, newsletters, and promotional materials. Capture and share participant success stories, program highlights, and workforce impact stories. Monitor social media engagement and assist with maintaining the department’s online presence. Support branding and promotional efforts for Workforce Development programs. Event Coordination Assist with planning and coordinating recruitment events, community outreach activities, workshops, and employer engagement events. Coordinate registrations, event communications, materials, and logistical arrangements. Support on-site event operations and participant engagement. Collect event feedback and assist with event evaluations. Maintain accurate outreach, marketing, participant, and stakeholder databases. Enter, verify, and update program, participant, employer, and event information. Track outreach activities, event attendance, and marketing metrics. Assist in preparing reports on marketing campaigns, outreach efforts, and participant engagement. Support Services Assistance Provide support with documentation processing. Assist with the distribution of certificates, reports, and training materials when needed. Support administrative projects and special assignments assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Education Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Education, or a related field preferred. Experience One year of experience in customer service, community engagement, marketing, communications, administrative support, or related activities preferred. Internship, student employment, volunteer, or equivalent experience may be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience using social media platforms for communication and engagement. Data management skills, including data entry, database maintenance, record management, reporting, and quality control. Ability to analyze and organize information from multiple sources. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with social media management, Canva, email marketing, CRM systems, or database management. Workforce development, higher education, nonprofit, or community-based experience. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
