Company Overview:
A cutting-edge AI-native operating system company for capital markets is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead technical deployments. The role involves embedding with hedge funds or investment management firms to customize and implement AI products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Embed with a hedge fund or investment management firm as the technical lead on deployment
- Customize products to fit client environments and ship daily workflows
- Engage in real engineering to integrate products with client setups
- Maintain a short feedback loop with end-users to refine deployments
- Focus on building, planning, and decision-making for AI software
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, traders, ops, compliance, and tech leadership
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in AI/ML or software engineering with production agentic work experience
- Strong production-grade Python skills
- Experience with production tool use, planning, and multi-step reasoning
- Expertise in tuning retrieval systems for production
- Ability to choose between off-the-shelf agent frameworks and custom orchestration
- Design experience with evaluation suites for agentic systems
- Experience designing APIs and integrations for production systems
- Proven track record of managing client engagements from kickoff to production
- Experience in regulated or operationally complex environments
- Ability to own customer-facing deployments end to end
Compensation:
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000, Plus Equity
