Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and assessment tools to establish a clear understanding of each client’s unique needs.
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans by collaborating with clients to identify goals and strategies for progress.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that introduce effective techniques and interventions tailored to diverse client needs.
• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and licensed social workers, to optimize client care and integrate medical insights.
• Manage referrals effectively, ensuring clients receive comprehensive care across various services, including medical assistance if needed.
• Support families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest development in psychotherapy practices and integrate evidence-based methods into treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a licensed mental health counselor at Mindsight, you will work with a client population that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Our clinic emphasizes culturally competent care, allowing you to tailor your approach to meet the specific needs of each client while respecting their unique backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills essential for effective client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in various settings, including community health clinics, private practices, or hospitals.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly with tools such as AVATAR, to ensure accurate and efficient client documentation.
• Familiarity with addiction disorders, as well as an understanding of the interaction between mental health and physical health conditions.
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
• Comprehensive experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that foster client engagement and healing.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 – 100,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
