Credit Risk Officer, Financial Sponsors, SVP

Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive, high–quality credit applications that showcase the financial sponsor, its strategy, annual update, and a list of all exposures that BBVA maintains with this sponsor across portfolios and geographies. Present credit applications for approval to both the New York and Madrid Credit Committees. Maintain accurate credit files and documentation folders to ensure readiness for internal audits and credit quality control reviews. Maintain trackers of sponsor and related fund exposures. Demonstrate knowledge of traded products and related documentation, including ISDA, CSA, CDEA, and GMRA agreements. Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and coordinate spreadsheets and financial data. Possess strong communication and presentation skills, capable of handling high–stress environments and meeting occasional crunch–time deadlines effectively. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. Five to fifteen (10–15) years of relevant experience in Finance, Credit Risk Management, Underwriting, or Loan Review. In‑depth knowledge and experience of financial sponsors and their activity. Knowledge of the Fund Finance space, structured products, derivative products is a plus. Ability to analyze financial statements. Solid understanding of general credit risk principles, foundations, and methodologies.
