Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Experienced ICU Registered Nurses are needed for a fast-paced CVICU unit, specializing in critical cardiac care and advanced support devices. The role involves managing complex patient conditions, including post-cardiac surgeries and patients with hemodynamic support devices.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters, including swan ganz catheters and arterial lines.
• Manage ventilators and ensure optimal respiratory function for critically ill patients.
• Perform advanced procedures such as post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-catheterization with cardiac support devices.
• Maintain patient safety and critical care standards through vigilant assessment and timely intervention.
• Adhere to hospital protocols for documentation, medication administration, and device management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Texas RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, preferably in a cardiac or CVICU setting.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS required.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and advanced cardiovascular procedures.
• Exposure to IABP, Impella, ECMO, and CRRT considered favorable.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills essential.
