Legal AssistantA nationally recognized litigation firm with a strong Los Angeles presence is seeking a legal assistant to join their fast-growing warranty litigation team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a seasoned legal support professional ready to take ownership in a new and rapidly expanding practice area handling high-volume, high-quality litigation. Two years of civil litigation experience is required!What You'll Do as the Legal Assistant:Support multiple attorneys with litigation-heavy administrative needs in a fast-paced environmentDraft, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, and correspondenceFile and serve legal documents in California State and Federal courtsMaintain detailed and deadline-driven attorney calendars, including scheduling court appearances and depositionsAssist in trial prep, including organizing exhibits and coordinating logisticsProcess expense reports, check requests, and invoicesEnter attorney time and maintain accurate records in the firm's billing systemCoordinate travel and manage logistics for attorneys and witnessesAnswer phones, manage files (physical and digital), and perform general office dutiesMust-Haves as the Legal Assistant:At least three years of legal assistant experience in civil litigationFamiliarity with California court rules and electronic filing systemsSolid knowledge of civil procedure, especially pleadings and motions practiceDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skillsTech-savvy with strong proficiency in MS Office and court filing platformsA self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and can work independentlyIn-office availability in Los AngelesNice-to-Haves as the Legal Assistant:Experience with warranty litigation or consumer product lawPrior experience anchoring a new or growing legal teamExperience supporting high-volume litigation dockets
