DIRECTOR OF FACILITY OPERATIONS

Job Title

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

College Degree Preferred

Graduate from Bio-Medical Engineering Technology program, preferred.

Degree in Technical program either electrical or mechanical discipline, preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of five years' experience in a healthcare field, required.

Experience in Facility operations, construction project management, and safety, required.

Experience in professional, healthcare, and financial risk management, preferred.

Licenses, Certification, and/or Registrations:

Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Certification, preferred.

Certified Healthcare Safety Professional, required.

Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, preferred.

Professional Risk Manager Certification, preferred.

Equipment, Tools, Work Aids:

Experience with computerized equipment management systems.

Experience with Bio-Medical test equipment and procedures.

Computer experience and general office equipment recommended.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of medical terminology

Must be familiar with laws governing health care operations, OSHA, personnel laws and regulations.

Must be familiar with accreditation agency standards.

Must exhibit excellent communication skills and high degree of initiative and resourcefulness.

Must be able to understand and apply management practices and skills including personnel management, financial management, and quality management.

Must exhibit a high degree of personal and professional integrity and place high value on treating others with dignity and respect.

Must understand patient safety principles, risk prevention strategies, and mitigation techniques.

Must have a thorough understanding of the Life Safety Code.

Must be proficient with building construction management.
