Personal Banker I - Palm Beach Gardens

General Function The Personal Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. This position is responsible for processing teller transactions and working as a member of the platform staff. The banker helps customers understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions that span across the customer’s lifecycle using our consultative sales and service process. The role is responsible for risk management by following policies and procedures and ensuring a positive customer experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other channels. Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice. Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered. Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customers’ needs are met and all problems are resolved. Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information. Provide customer support reinforcing the value of current and new technology. Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or college degree, or equivalent military experience. Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships. Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication. Exhibits business acumen. Demonstrated ability in making sound decisions. This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Working Conditions Normal office environment. Extending viewing of computer screens. Compensation & Benefits The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan based upon company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
