Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Med Nurse

Crowne Health Care is currently accepting applications for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Med Nurse within our long-term care and rehabilitation facility specializing in geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License or Temporary PN License
• Must successfully pass required background screening and drug screening
• Long-term care experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Essential Job Functions

• Administer medications accurately and according to physician orders and facility policies
• Complete required computerized documentation and resident assessments
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to physicians, responsible parties, and appropriate clinical staff
• Order and manage medications through the pharmacy
• Supervise and provide direction to CNA staff
• Provide wound care and treatments as ordered
• Collect and process laboratory specimens
• Complete required assessments and documentation accurately and timely
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, pharmacy staff, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Follow all applicable nursing standards, facility policies, and state and federal regulations
• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care at all times
