About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery RN – Austin, Texas

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day and night shifts available; alternating weekends; 48 hours per week; no call requirements; no RTO or special scheduling; standard scheduling in a high-volume environment

Highlights:

• High-volume, Level IV unit supporting 1,000+ deliveries per month
• 6-week rapid response assignment with immediate start
• Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, depending on acuity
• Meditech EMR system; modern equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and US
• 32-bed unit with experienced team of 150 staff members
• Exposure to diverse case mix including SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, and TOLAC

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas or multistate compact
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required (must be included in submission packet)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Demonstrated competency in sterile vaginal exam (SVE) and C-Section circulation
• Experience in high-volume or Level IV units strongly preferred
• Internal monitor placement competency preferred
• Previous HCA assignment or employment a plus
