We are seeking dedicated and organized individuals to join our team as Patient Access Specialists. This role involves providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support, including processing and distributing medical records, EOBs, UB-92 forms, and itemized statements. The position is based in Lebanon, NH, with additional openings in Windsor, VT.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill requests for medical records, EOBs, and itemized statements.

• Deliver documentation to designated internal and external business unit contacts.

• Perform general office duties such as sorting correspondence, filing, photocopying, scanning, and indexing documents.

• Handle mail printing, tracking, and distribution.

• Manage mail handling and receive claims from multiple sources.

• Work on online files in lock box and manage work cues.

• Handle requests related to hospital billing and professional fees.

Essential Skills

• Patient access and medical customer service experience.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

• Capability to learn and adapt in stressful settings.

• Prior experience working with EPIC is preferred.

• Previous office administration experience.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Ability to research and work independently.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Excellent listening skills and organizational abilities.

• Strong prioritization and multitasking capabilities.

• Accurate data entry skills and 10-key proficiency by touch.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma.

• Knowledge of healthcare terminology.

• Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks quickly.

Work Environment

You will be working in a team environment within an office atmosphere. The role offers a full-time, Monday-Friday shift, with start times ranging from 6:30-7:30 AM. The position is based in various clinical areas such as Hematology/Oncology, Ultrasound, CT/MRI, Occupational Health, Outpatient Surgery Center, Admissions, and Emergency Department. The work environment is fast-paced, and employees are expected to maintain a professional demeanor while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, NH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
