Seasonal Part Time Cook Position
This is a seasonal, part time position with needs on weekends only. Main responsibilities of a cook include lifting and carrying between 10lbs and 55lbs, preparing workstations, cooking ingredients, and kitchen equipment for cooking, and cooking and arranging food.
Cook job description: We are looking for an experienced cook to fill a vacant spot for our seasonal Saturday events. The person we are hoping to employ is skilled on the grill and MUST be organized. We are looking for someone to work as a team player, follow instructions, and help us delight our customers with delicious food from our menu. In addition to cooking prowess, great communication and organizational skills are paramount.
A good candidate for this job is a person with attention to detail who can keep the area tidy and clean all while preparing, cooking, and arranging food together for a small off site event. We pride ourselves in our exceptional service, and we expect nothing less from our cooks.
Responsibilities of a cook include maintaining a sanitized and well-organized space, preparing workstations for cooking, preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment, checking the quality of the ingredients, preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques, cooking food using various culinary techniques, arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation, and managing food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.
Cook job requirements include having prior experience as a cook, being skilled in operating kitchen equipment, being skilled in various cooking techniques, knowing and following sanitation procedures, showcasing teamwork and communication skills, showcasing great organizational skills, being able to multitask and act quickly, carrying at least a high school diploma, having a valid driver's license, and having reliable transportation.
This is a seasonal part time job that will be Saturdays from April to October. Please keep that in mind before applying for the position.
Work schedule: 12 hour shift, weekend availability.
