Mechanical Assembler IThe Mechanical Assembler I is responsible for assembling high-precision products of varying complexity under a more experienced employee's guidance. This person will also be responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Under the direction of a more experienced employee, assemble a variety of subassemblies, standard and unique products, using established proceduresAccurate fitting, aligning, and adjusting required to very close tolerances or precision fits subject to strict inspection.Set up, and test complete products to ensure that units meet specification and customer order requirementsOther responsibilities as required.This position has no direct reports.This job operates in a dedicated laboratory in a professional manufacturing environment. Employees in this role routinely use electrical test equipment, standard hand tools, and some office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully, some of which may be done with accommodations.While performing this job's duties, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing. The employee is frequently required to move about the office, use a computer, and reach with hands and arms.
