Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts | 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (36 hours/week) – Weekend days (Friday/Saturday) plus one weekday shift. Contract must extend through January 2, 2027.

Highlights:

• Float to multiple ICU settings based on staffing needs and patient acuity including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Work with a full interdisciplinary support team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• EPIC charting system with experience required
• Float policy ensures assignment to units of equivalent or lower acuity only
• Exposure to complex patient populations including transplant cases (kidney, liver, lung, heart) and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Opportunity to expand critical care skills across diverse ICU environments

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Skills including arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, CV drips titration, vasoactive drip management, and care of ventilated patients
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
