Facilities ManagerThe Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of parish facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment. Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the policies of the diocese.Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and technical training. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or a related field required. Requires knowledge of building systems including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices. Familiarity with building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA regulations required.Commitment to excellence and high standards.Strong communication organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to manage priorities and workflow, handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.Working knowledge of spreadsheet programs for budgeting.Ability to perform physical labor.Ability to keep written records of work performed, supplies, equipment and purchases.Possess valid Florida driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.Work extra hours and be on call for holidays and emergencies as needed.Work is performed in both office and field environments. This position may require work beyond a standard 8-hour day, including evenings, weekends, and on-call availability for emergencies. The role involves oversight of facility operations in a dynamic environment.Ability to climb a ladder to height of 35 feet and use scaffolds. Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 50 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, lean, reach, crawl, stretch, and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to access all areas of parish facilities, including climbing ladders and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions, as needed to oversee operations. Work inside and outside of buildings. Work in well lighted and ventilated areas, hot and cold temperatures, and dark and tight quarters. Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
