(USA) Freight Flow Associate

Position Summary This role supports the day‑to‑day operations of Sam's Club #8193 at 1700 Wesel Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740-5389. It involves operating a forklift, managing inventory, providing member service, ensuring facility safety, and maintaining the sales floor. Responsibilities Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans. Operate a forklift safely, picking up, moving, placing and positioning merchandise pallets. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, expectations, and communicating progress. Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow and completing required paperwork and logs. Provide member service: acknowledge members, identify member needs, guide self‑service technology use, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, resolve issues, and promote company products and services. Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation: zone the area, stock and rotate merchandise, remove damaged or out‑of‑date goods, set up displays, maintain modular integrity, receive, sort, stage, and deliver merchandise, display promotional and seasonal items, process defective merchandise, and monitor shrink, security and safety risks. Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders, staging products according to policy, ensuring Merchandising Associates pick orders within timeframes, and performing occasional accuracy audits. Handle moves and displays of goods safely, track inventory, maintain in‑stock levels, control shrinkage, report poor inventory practices, and use inventory tools safely. Operate and maintain forklifts safely, report poor or unsafe conditions, and notify management when forklifts are not in proper working order. Proactively identify customers needing help, engage them, assist with technology services and items, model technology service practices, identify shrink opportunities, and maintain equipment and product organization. Qualifications 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification. Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks. Must be 18 years of age or older. Customer Service Experience (preferred).
