Senior Full Stack Developer McLean, VA June 23, 2026 Only accepting local candidates immediately local to the Washington, DC area. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong Java expertise to build scalable, high-quality applications. This hands‑on role spans the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and production support, while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders. Required Experience 5+ years of software development experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Required Skills Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, JavaScript, JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins Experience developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications Ability to maintain and modernize existing Python applications into Java-based solutions Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Experience with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Kiro, VS Code AI) Preferred Skills AWS cloud services Angular or React Kafka and event‑driven architectures SQL performance tuning Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable applications Build and enhance Java/Spring Boot full‑stack solutions Optimize application performance and reliability Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver technical solutions Develop proof‑of‑concepts and support architectural decisions Troubleshoot production issues and implement enhancements Modernize and migrate Python applications to Java What We're Looking For Strong technical expertise in Java and full‑stack development Ownership of projects from design through production support Adaptability in a fast‑paced environment Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr AKTRA INC
