BCI Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Design Build Estimator to join our growing team and work in central Minnesota. Primary Duties Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids Identify project risks, value-engineering opportunities, and cost‑saving alternatives Develop and maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and pricing models Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site visits, and scope reviews Assist in preparing bid proposals, budgets, and project schedules Collaborate with project management teams during handoff and throughout construction Track changes, scope revisions, and change order pricing as needed Develop new areas for future expansion of customers and products as required Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities Requirements A strong moral compass, aligned with our core values Strong communication skills, both formal and informal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences Desire for continued growth and development Initiative around corporate goals as outlined by BCI Ability to maintain organization and efficiency with time and resources Interpersonal skills that are resolution oriented Ability to recognize and manage priorities consistently Proficiency with personal computers, printers, cell phones, and other office equipment Ability to develop new areas for future expansion of customers and products as required Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines Ability to learn take‑off software and database programs Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration Ability to develop and improve bidding skills to procure and manage own projects Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction contracts, plans, blueprints, and specifications Education, Training, and Other Requirements Required High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of Project Management Experience Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, or similar Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Stack Valid driver’s license Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field 5+ years’ experience in a Commercial Construction role, with estimating experience Schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM An Equal Opportunity Employer We consider applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, the presence of a non‑job related medical condition or handicap, or any other legally protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr BCI Construction, Inc.
