Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician directives. This role involves the delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective returns to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator to patients, families, colleagues, and oneself, while upholding the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document care accurately and timely, including goal writing and medical necessity letters.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Engage in the student program, providing positive learning environments and supervision.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional activities.
• Maintain professional licensure and adhere to discipline-specific regulatory standards.
• Understand and apply organizational performance improvement methodologies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Maintaining licensure in good standing as required by state regulations.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
