About the job At JBT Marel, we are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our team in Sabetha, US. The Senior Finance Manager reports to the NA Finance Director and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the business unit. They will have primary day‑to‑day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial‑related activities, including finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and site‑related accounting functions. As a trusted business partner, the Senior Finance Manager works closely with operational and commercial leaders to provide financial insights, improve profitability, and support sustainable growth. The role combines hands‑on financial management with strategic oversight, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing local business needs. Key Job Tasks Strategy Assess organizational performance against the annual budget and the business unit’s long‑term strategy. Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Site Director and make actionable recommendations on strategy and operations. Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and select and engage outside consultants (auditors). Executive Management Serve as a member of the site leadership team. Participate in key decisions relating to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution. Financial Planning and Analysis Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; monthly profit and loss forecast by division (vs. budget). Complete analysis of financial results and develop recommendations (strategic and tactical). Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, new service launches). Develop and maintain the capital budget. Assist in the development of financial planning and analysis exercises and reports. Participate in calls with Division and Corporate Management. Finance Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Oversee cash and asset management. Develop and utilize forward‑looking, predictive models and activity‑based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans. Planning Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets. Develop financial business plans and forecasts. Team Management Manage work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and building an effective team dynamic. Cash Management Oversee weekly cash management and approve weekly payables. Oversee AR management and provide support to collections activities. Risk Management Monitor all open legal issues involving the business unit/industry. Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies. Education & Experience A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance with a C.P.A and/or M.B.A is required. At least ten years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing facility with increasing responsibilities for multi‑faceted direction and planning is required. Cost accounting experience is highly recommended. Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems is essential for accurate financial information.
